Leeds has a national and international reputation for musical excellence. From experimental jazz performers found at this year's Big City Jazz Festival, to the latest NME-endorsed bands, including Kaiser Chiefs and Corinne Bailey Rae and Leeds legends Utah Saints.
But finding your five minutes of fame isn't easy. To shine the spotlight on some of the best up and coming talent the city has to offer, Old Chapel Studio and Sponge Studios, two studios from different sides of the industry, are joining forces with Sharing the Success, the Leeds LEGI programme to launch a unique one-off album celebrating the Leeds music scene. Fresh local talent and old favourites have collaborated to make the 16-track CD* which will be launched at this exclusive preview event overlooking the city's developing waterfront at City Inn Leeds.
Guests will be treated to a series of live performances and DJ sessions featuring some of Leeds' hottest new artists and setting the soundtrack for the city's future at the cutting edge of the music sector.
